Application Specialist I – Fixed-Term (6 months)

About the role

We are seeking an Application Specialist I on a six‑month fixed‑term contract in Brunei. The role supports chemical application processes, conducts laboratory and field testing, and ensures the reliable operation of chemical injection pumps across our sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory and field tests to analyse hydrocarbon, non‑hydrocarbon gas and water streams.
• Provide technical support for site application products, trial runs and pump maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, databases and prepare technical reports, graphs and charts.
• Execute routine monitoring, sampling and analysis in line with test programs and Good Laboratory Practice.
• Coordinate chemical injection activities, troubleshoot issues and adjust injection rates as required.
• Track chemical inventory, ensure sufficient supplies and advise on corrective actions.
• Act as liaison between field assets and internal departments for pump maintenance, problem identification and resolution.
• Carry out preventative and non‑routine maintenance on chemical injection pumps following established schedules and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in chemical application, laboratory analysis or pump maintenance.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
