Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Head of Accounting and is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of the company’s financial accounting and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group reporting requirements.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, reviewing entries, reconciliations and general ledger balances.
• Support statutory reporting, audit coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and mentor junior finance team members.
• Liaise with headquarters, auditors, regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders on accounting matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) preferred.
• 8‑10 years of relevant experience, preferably in oil & gas or energy upstream.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, tax, treasury and asset accounting.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
