Apprentice Financial Planner

About the role

As an Apprentice Financial Planner you will be trained from the ground up to become a licensed financial adviser in Brunei. You will learn how money works, how to read a family’s financial position, develop a robust plan and earn the client’s trust, working alongside experienced mentors. The role focuses on professional, not sales‑driven advice, turning vague worries into concrete, numbers‑based plans.

Key responsibilities

• Meet families to discuss their financial concerns and objectives.
• Analyse a family’s current financial situation.
• Create detailed, numbers‑based financial plans that address those concerns.
• Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with clients.

Required profile

• Open to Brunei citizens or permanent residents only (regulatory requirement).
• No prior financial services experience required.
• Strong integrity, work ethic and willingness to learn in uncomfortable situations.
