About the role

The Commercial Banking Executive is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial clients by delivering tailored financial solutions. The role focuses on ensuring credit quality, driving revenue from lending, trade, and transaction services, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Source and onboard corporate clients to grow the portfolio and generate revenue through new lending and transaction relationships.
• Prepare and submit monthly management reports and financial ratios to ensure accurate reporting to Head Office and meet Brunei regulatory compliance.
• Initiate and verify loan drawdowns and conditions precedent, ensuring compliant disbursements and mitigating post‑drawdown risk.
• Originate and underwrite credit proposals, assessing financials and risks to approve high‑quality loans within credit policy.
• Sell and service lending, trade finance, and working capital solutions to drive product uptake, fee income, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor portfolio performance and early‑warning indicators, identify at‑risk accounts, and implement remediation actions to protect asset quality.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing banking facilities to ensure ongoing suitability and compliance.
