Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant reports to the Senior Financial Accountant and supports accurate, timely financial accounting and reporting in line with standards, regulations and company policies. The role is central to month‑end and year‑end close, fixed‑asset accounting, taxation, audit support and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial accounting records, management reports, statutory schedules and corporate reporting submissions.
• Perform month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, including entries, reconciliations, accruals and provisions.
• Maintain fixed‑asset accounting, depreciation, depletion and amortisation records.
• Support tax reporting, regulatory compliance and audit documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements and reporting quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• 4‑6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Oil & Gas or Energy.
• Experience with external auditors and corporate reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and reconciliation skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of IFRS and financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
