Construction Engineer

About the role

The Construction Engineer will support the Senior Construction Engineer in planning and executing onshore preparation and offshore construction phases for multi‑discipline campaigns. The role ensures work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to required quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement HSSE procedures and ensure health and safety of construction personnel on site.
• Provide constructability input during early design stages and conduct offshore surveys with the design team.
• Develop and review construction work packs, including TRA, JMS, HAZID, ENVID and COSHH documentation.
• Coordinate resources, vendors, tools and equipment, and monitor construction network schedules.
• Manage punch‑list actions, verify completed work packs before hand‑over, and review as‑built drawings.
• Liaise with offshore management, trade supervision, project engineers and commissioning teams to align priorities and progress.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering degree or equivalent qualification; member of an internationally recognised professional institution.
• Minimum 7 years of offshore construction experience in oil‑ and‑gas projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑discipline construction preparation and execution tasks.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, design‑to‑deliverable integration and inter‑discipline relationships.
• Familiarity with international standards, codes of practice and HSSE requirements for oil‑and‑gas design and construction.
