Field Service Technician – HVAC Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to carry out routine maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems under the Istana Hijau Baiduri Service Agreement. The role ensures reliable operation of chillers, air handling units, fan coil units, pumps and cooling towers while meeting contractual and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on all HVAC equipment at the Istana.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and execute corrective actions to maintain system efficiency.
• Follow the approved maintenance programme and complete scheduled tasks on time.
• Prepare daily work reports detailing job status, completed work, outstanding issues and recommendations.
• Coordinate with supervisors and the client to ensure timely completion of activities.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, and ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment.

Required profile

• HVAC diploma with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in Malay and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to build professional relationships and deliver high‑quality service to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Maintenance and repair of chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), pumps and cooling towers.
• Preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
