Reservoir Engineer

About the role

The Reservoir Engineer will support safe, efficient and reliable delivery of products and services to customers. The role involves close collaboration with operations teams, continuous improvement of reservoir‑related processes, and real‑time technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑depth well studies for well reinstatement campaigns and candidate string reviews.
• Analyse reservoir production performance, including liquid, oil, water, gas rates, cumulative production, injection volumes and pressure trends.
• Assess well spacing and interference risk between candidate wells and neighboring wells.
• Run analytical forecasts using Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) with OFM and, when needed, build simple reservoir models in Petrel (ECL/IX) or MBAL.
• Understand and optimise secondary water injection programs, establishing connectivity impacts on candidate wells.
• Conduct single‑well modelling, zonal‑level and reservoir‑level DCA to estimate recoverable volumes.
• Support senior production technologists in candidate selection and business case development for closed‑in string reinstatement.
• Collaborate with subsurface teams, present well studies to peer‑review committees and client SMEs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in reservoir engineering and well performance analysis.
• Familiarity with water injection programmes and their optimisation.
• Ability to work with senior production technologists and petrophysicists on candidate evaluation.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.
