Assistant Manager - Risk Management and Compliance

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the line manager in executing risk management and compliance policies for the Brunei branch, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and Group standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining and implementing risk management, compliance, and regulatory governance strategies.
• Review and adopt Group policies and regulatory consultation papers for the Brunei branch.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting (CRS, FATCA, AML/CFT) with the operations team.
• Support the Data Protection Officer and act as the Business Contact Information point for data‑protection matters.
• Coordinate Business Continuity Planning and training programs across the branch.
• Provide ad‑hoc assistance on marketing, social media, and other cross‑functional tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum university degree.
• Familiarity with the industry’s regulatory environment.
• Proactive, self‑starter with strong writing, detail‑orientation, and record‑keeping habits.
• High integrity, accountability, and alignment with core organisational values.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt to change.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
