About the role

The Universiti Brunei Darussalam offers a full‑time PhD scholarship in Chemistry. The successful candidate will join a research team focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel functional materials.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and perform advanced laboratory experiments.
• Handle sophisticated analytical instruments and interpret the resulting data.
• Assist in procuring chemicals and equipment needed for research.
• Prepare manuscripts for submission to Q1 journals and write brief research reports.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences or a related field.
• Self‑motivated, creative and able to work both independently and in a team.
• IELTS or TOEFL English proficiency score.
• 3‑4 first‑author publications in Q1 journals.
• Strong practical laboratory skills and report‑writing ability.
