Head of Reservoir Surveillance & Optimisation

About the role

The Head of Reservoir, Surveillance and Optimisation (RSO) leads a dedicated team responsible for reservoir engineering, surveillance and production optimisation across Block B fields. This senior position drives technical excellence, ensures safe and efficient production, and represents the RSO function in internal and external forums.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reservoir modelling, reserves reporting and technical studies.
• Oversee reservoir surveillance and troubleshoot well performance issues.
• Drive production forecasting, enhancement programmes and optimisation using tools such as Petex PROSPER and GAP.
• Manage team performance, development plans and budget forecasting.
• Represent RSO in reporting forums, technical committees and ensure compliance with HSSE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Petroleum or Chemical preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in upstream oil & gas.
• At least 5 years of experience in gas‑producing fields.
• Proven experience in reservoir surveillance, production enhancement identification and long‑term production profiling.
• Hands‑on experience with multiphase well nodal analysis and network modelling (Petex PROSPER, GAP).
• Track record leading multidisciplinary teams and managing work programmes and budgets.
• Preferred experience in static/dynamic reservoir modelling and reserves estimation.
