Application Specialist I

About the role

We are seeking an Application Specialist I to join our Brunei team, supporting chemical application processes for hydrocarbon, non‑hydrocarbon gas and water streams. The role blends laboratory analysis, field support, and pump maintenance to ensure safe, high‑quality operations.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate Goal Zero Safety Culture and commitment to quality, diversity and inclusion.
• Maintain and improve Integrated Management System and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct laboratory and field tests for qualitative and quantitative analyses of hydrocarbon, gas and water streams.
• Provide technical support for site applications, product trials and pump maintenance.
• Accurately maintain logbooks, databases, technical reports, graphs and charts.
• Perform routine monitoring, sampling and analysis according to test programs.
• Maintain analytical facilities in line with Good Laboratory Practice.
• Coordinate field chemical applications, troubleshoot issues and adjust injection rates.
• Track chemical inventory, ensure sufficient supplies and inform supervisors of corrective actions.
• Serve as liaison between departments and field assets for pump maintenance and problem resolution.
• Execute preventative, non‑routine and breakdown maintenance on chemical injection pumps.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to build effective working relationships within a diverse team.
• Knowledge of chemical application operations, quality and safety standards.
• Strong organizing, coordinating and written/oral communication skills.
• Understanding of company product line, chemical compositions, uses, interactions, hazard signs, production techniques and disposal methods.
• Proficiency in English language structure and content.
• Basic mathematical knowledge.
