Veterinary Surgeon

About the role

Petlink Veterinary Care, part of the Petlink Group of Companies with over 42 years of experience in Brunei's pet industry since 1984, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join its team in Bandar Seri Begawan. The successful candidate will diagnose and treat companion animals, perform surgical procedures, provide preventive healthcare and uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in companion animals.
• Perform surgical procedures and manage pre- and post-operative care.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, blood tests and ultrasound scans.
• Perform routine health examinations and administer vaccinations.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general pet wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold professional standards of veterinary care.

Required profile

• DVM degree or an equivalent recognised veterinary qualification.
• Relevant experience in small-animal veterinary practice.
• Eligibility to meet Brunei's veterinary registration and licensing requirements.

Required skills

• Strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in veterinary medicine, surgery and diagnostics.
• Good decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate approach to animal care and a strong commitment to animal welfare.

What we offer

• Starting salary of BND 1,500 per month, depending on experience.
• Accommodation provided.
• No personal income tax in Brunei, subject to applicable tax rules.
