Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will coordinate the preparation of construction work packs for onshore procurement, fabrication and offshore construction, ensuring alignment with campaign schedules and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of construction work packs and schedule job cards, drawings and material requisitions.
• Review design engineers' output, develop work orders and manage major/minor plant changes and repairs.
• Maintain campaign work pack status in WMS systems and provide progress updates to planning engineers.
• Ensure all works comply with BSP, Amec Foster Wheeler standards and industry best practices.
• Support development of construction aids, lifting designs and multi‑discipline data.
• Plan and manage resources for maintenance, RO and project work pack development.
• Monitor daily progress, prepare recovery plans for delays and propose solutions to constraints.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance, review risk assessments and ISSOW PTWs.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering degree or equivalent and membership of an internationally recognised professional institution.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil and gas design, construction and implementation on major projects.
• At least 2 years in project or office management of multi‑discipline offshore/onshore teams.
• Strong experience with multi‑discipline interfaces, brownfield projects and corrective maintenance.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, coordinate teams and communicate with technical and non‑technical staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP CMMS and Shell’s DEPs systems.
• Experience using Work Management Systems (WMS) for campaign tracking.
• Knowledge of international engineering standards, codes of practice and HSSE requirements.
• Competence in construction methods, design engineering and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with EPC environments and marine support management interfaces.
