Cost Controller / Receiver

About the role

Radisson Hotel Brunei is looking for a Cost Controller / Receiver to join its team. The role ensures effective cost control, accurate inventory management and proper receiving procedures across the hotel, covering food and beverage costs, incoming deliveries and stock records, while helping to minimise wastage and protect hotel assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse food, beverage and operational costs against budgets, prepare cost reports, spot variances and wastage, and track purchasing prices.
• Receive and inspect all incoming goods, check them against purchase orders, delivery orders and invoices, verify expiry dates and temperature, and reject or report damaged or non-compliant items.
• Maintain accurate stock records, take part in regular stocktakes, investigate discrepancies and follow FIFO and FEFO practices.
• Keep receiving documents, invoices and delivery orders organised, reconcile records with supplier invoices, and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure food and beverage deliveries meet hygiene and food safety standards, including HACCP and halal certification documentation.
• Coordinate with Finance, Purchasing, Kitchen, Food & Beverage and Storekeeping, and perform other duties assigned by the Financial Controller or Management.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in cost control, receiving, purchasing, inventory management or a similar position.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, strong verbal communication, teamwork and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel procurement, inventory management and financial procedures is an advantage.
