HR Business Partner – Brunei

About the role

HR Business Partner in Brunei – a hands‑on opportunity to own HR for the entire country operation. Based in Bandar Seri Begawan, you will work closely with a regional HR team to deliver people solutions that move the business forward, shape the employee experience and influence culture.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across the Brunei operation.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through off‑boarding.
• Lead local recruitment activities in partnership with the regional talent acquisition team.
• Ensure compliance with the Brunei Employment Order and advise stakeholders on statutory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies such as the Labour Department, JobCentre Brunei and immigration authorities.
• Manage work‑pass applications, labour‑quota administration and related documentation.
• Support performance management, employee relations, payroll inputs and engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist or HRBP experience covering the full spectrum of HR functions.
• Strong knowledge of Brunei employment legislation and statutory compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to navigate complex people matters.
• Adaptive mindset with a genuine interest in culture transformation and continuous improvement.
• Experience in a regional or matrix working environment is a plus.
• A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
